An old man toasts the end of time. My intention for this short was to create a subtle, constrained expression of something I couldn't put into words properly. This man is watching the End of Time, but he knows that everything is okay.

This was the first time I had completed an entire short own my own, and I learned many things during the process. My next short will be much better.

This is a selection of older work that I had compiled for part of a portfolio. Some of the older clips were created as far back as 2003. I created all of the 3D art and textures. Live action video was filmed by Aaron Caughlin, and the music was created by Jeffrey Hansen.

This was an assignment for a film class in the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon. The assignment was to tell a story that focused on kindness, centered around a kitchen, used a glass, and was predominantly brown in nature. My roles in this video include writing the story and acting as the main character.

Our final project in the film class at the Entertainment Technology Center. We were given the assignment of filming a music video that was not a literal interpretation of the song.

I edited this video and also created all of the visual effects.

This was made for Round 2 of our Building Virtual Worlds class. I did all the modeling and animations.

The world was designed to be used in a Head Mounted Display (VR goggles), and the guest was given a real flashlight to hold. This real-world flashlight is what controlled the flashlight in the virtual world and provided a very intuitive interface. We did not need to provide any instructions for the guest to interact with this world. The world may appear a little too dark here, but in the Head Mounted Display it was brighter.

There were quite a few technical challenges with the lighting, mainly because we needed a dynamic, shadow-casting light source. The Panda3D engine only seemed to support one dynamic light at a time, but we wanted the part at the end with the officer to be very dramatic and have light spill in from the outside (from the Officer's flood lights).

We ended up faking it by creating a semi-transparent plane that would stay below the ground plane, and then would raise up slightly as the door opened.
